About Polished MPLS
Polished MPLS is an independent guide to nails, hands and feet in Minneapolis.

What it is
Polished MPLS explains nail and hand care in plain language: what the different manicures are, how to look after nails through a Minnesota winter, what happens in a pedicure, how to choose a salon and how to check a license. It also walks through six Minneapolis neighborhoods and lists nail salons across the city.
The salon directory
The directory lists nail salons and spas in Minneapolis by area, with address, phone and website. Listings come from public business listings and the salons' own websites, and they appear in alphabetical order. Polished MPLS is independent and is not a salon.
How the guides are sourced
Each guide lists its sources at the bottom. The care guides draw on the Minnesota Board of Cosmetologist Examiners, the Food and Drug Administration, the Cleveland Clinic and NOAA climate normals. The neighborhood pages use public encyclopedic and city sources. Where sources disagree, the page leaves the point out.
Limits
Nothing here is medical advice. A nail that changes color, separates from the nail bed, or sits in red, swollen or painful skin should be seen by a health care provider. Salon hours, prices and addresses change, so confirm details with the salon before you go.
